Luka Doncic channeled his inner Michael Jordan while helping the Dallas Mavericks punch their ticket to the NBA Finals on Thursday night, and he even broke out the famous shrug.
Doncic came out firing in the Mavericks’ 124-103 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves in Game 5 of the Western Conference Finals. He scored 20 of his 36 points in the first quarter, as Dallas opened up a massive lead in a game that was never close.
Doncic finished 14-of-22 from the field, including 6-of-10 from three-point range. After hitting one three-pointer over Karl-Anthony Towns, Doncic did the Michael Jordan shrug.

Doncic has looked unstoppable at times during the postseason. Both he and Kyrie Irving torched the Timberwolves in a series that most expected to be very competitive. There was some talk that a disrespectful gesture from a fan may have motivated Doncic in Game 5, but the Western Conference Finals MVP has been playing at an elite level for a while.
The Boston Celtics will have their hands full trying to slow down Doncic and Irving in the NBA Finals, which begin on Thursday night at TD Garden.
