A common theme emerged among the fan reactions to the latest injury suffered by Boston Celtics big man Kristaps Porzingis.

The injury was specifically described as “a torn medial retinaculum allowing dislocation of the posterior tibialis tendon in his left leg.”

While Porzingis’ injury is considered “serious,” some fans on X couldn’t help but poke fun at how unintelligible the diagnosis sounds to non-medical professionals.

Porzingis was visibly hobbling on the court after a dangerous-looking fall midway through the fourth quarter of Game 2. Porzingis had just returned in Game 1 following a 10-game absence due to a calf injury suffered in April.

Porzingis has been a difference-maker since returning from the calf injury. The 7’3″ center scored a combined 32 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in the first two games of the Finals.
