Could the Las Vegas Raiders trade Davante Adams this season? One reporter thinks it’s a possibility.
Adams suffered a hamstring injury in practice this week, which kept him out for Week 4 and could keep him out longer.
During “Football Night in America” Sunday, NBC’s Mike Florio talked about Adams’ situation. Florio pointed to the $35.64 million that Adams is owed for next season as a reason for a potential offseason split between the receiver and the receiver. Florio thinks that Adams could even be moved sooner than that.
“Keep an ear open for chatter pointing to a possible Davante Adams trade in the next five weeks unless the Raiders emerge as clear contenders between now and then,” Florio said.
The Raiders beat the Cleveland Browns 20-16 on Sunday to improve to 2-2. With a .500 record, the Raiders might not be ready to part ways with Adams yet. But if they do trade him, one team has consistently been linked to the receiver.
For the season, Adams has caught 18 passes for 209 yards and one touchdown.
