The Carolina Panthers have added a former 1st-round pick to their practice squad.

Carolina on Tuesday signed Caleb Farley to their practice squad. Farley was a first-round pick by the Tenneessee Titans in 2021 out of Virginia Tech. The cornerback was drafted No. 22 overall but only played in 12 games over two seasons due to numerous injuries.

Farley suffered a torn ACL during his rookie season and was limited to three games that year. The next season he missed several games due to a back injury that led him to undergo surgery.

The Panthers are trying to give the 25-year-old another shot and see if he can play like the player who showed first-round talent ahead of the draft.

Farley had six interceptions over two seasons in college at Virginia Tech. He did not play during the 2020 season.
