The Denver Broncos wore their throwback uniforms on Sunday, and Bo Nix decided to pay tribute to the man that most people think of when they see the classic threads.

Broncos fans are hoping the jersey will bring Nix some luck against the Las Vegas Raiders. The rookie has experienced serious growing pains this season, though he has played well enough in each of the past two weeks for Denver to win.
Nix entered Sunday’s game with 660 yards, 1 touchdown and 4 interceptions. Those four picks came in Week 1 and Week 2, however, so Nix has done a better job of protecting the ball over the last two games.
Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love had a similar tribute for a franchise icon last week, and he went out and threw 4 touchdown passes. Nix is hoping for that type of success following his nod to Elway.
