The Indianapolis Colts suffered a significant scare with the health of quarterback Anthony Richardson on Sunday, but the news on his hip injury does not sound too bad.
Richardson left Sunday’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers in the first half and did not return. However, Richardson’s injury is not thought to be serious, according to Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network. The Colts are hopeful that Richardson will not miss any time with the injury, but will evaluate him during the week.
The hope is that Colts QB Anthony Richardson misses very little or no game action with his right hip pointer, per source.
Colts will evaluate Richardson this week. He was in good spirits after the game.

The Colts have a trip to Jacksonville to face the Jaguars in Week 5.
The Colts probably will want to be cautious with their young quarterback, even if he can play. Joe Flacco looked capable in the 27-24 win against Pittsburgh, so there should not be any real desperation to get Richardson back on the field as quickly as possible. Still, they will want the second-year quarterback to get game action as much as possible, so there is little doubt that if he is healthy, he’ll start.
