The Las Vegas Raiders might be ready to move on from Davante Adams.
Adams has been the subject of off-and-on trade rumors since last season. The latest round popped up after he was seen looking frustrated on the sideline during the Raiders’ Week 3 loss to the Carolina Panthers. Adams then suffered a hamstring injury in practice last week and sat out Sunday’s game against the Cleveland Browns.
On Sunday night, NBC’s Mike Florio said on “Football Night in America” that he believes Adams could be traded ahead of the Nov. 4 deadline. According to Vincent Bonsignore of the Las Vegas Review-Journal, the Raiders are exploring that possibility.
“A league source with knowledge of the situation confirmed that the @Raiders are growing open to the idea of trading Davante Adams,” Bonsignore reported on Tuesday. “The source said the club has begun reaching out to teams to gauge interest in the veteran wide receiver.”

Adams was traded to the Raiders from the Green Bay Packers after the 2021 season. He forced his way to Las Vegas because he wanted to play with Derek Carr, who was his teammate in college at Fresno State. The Raiders moved on from Carr after the 2022 season, and Adams has since hinted that he regrets forcing a trade.
It would hardly be a surprise if Adams wants out of Las Vegas. The 31-year-old made some comments in an interview on Tuesday that called his relationship with Raiders head coach Antonio Pierce into question.
Adams has 18 catches for 209 yards and a touchdown this season. His status for Week 5 is unclear.
