Taysom Hill has been getting beat up this season.
Hill missed the New Orleans Saints’ Week 3 game after suffering a chest injury in the Week 2 win over the Dallas Cowboys. Hill returned to play in Week 4 and rushed for two touchdowns, but he was reinjured in that game.
On Thursday, Saints head coach Dennis Allen told reporters that Hill is dealing with rib fractures. Hill was not present for the team’s practice on Thursday, and his status for Week 5 is unclear.
The 34-year-old Hill is a versatile player who serves in multiple capacities. He has rushed for 77 yards and 2 touchdowns while serving as a wildcat quarterback. He’s also been listed as a tight end and has caught two passes.
Hill has not attempted any passes this season, but he has passed for 2,348 yards and 11 touchdowns during his NFL career.
The Saints are 2-2 and play at the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday night.
