The struggling Florida State Seminoles may be without DJ Uiagalelei for the rest of the season.
Uiagalelei suffered a hand injury in the Seminoles’ loss to SMU last weekend. A report at the time said that Uiagalelei’s injury might keep him out long term. That appears to be the case.
247 Sports’ Matt Zenitz reported on Saturday that Uiagalelei underwent surgery during the week and is expected to miss several weeks. Zenitz said that Uiagalelei could miss the rest of the season.

Uiagalelei is in his fifth college season and first with FSU, and his time in Tallahassee has not gone well.
In five games, Uiagalelei has passed for 1,065 yards, 4 touchdowns and 6 interceptions. He’s completed just 53.8 percent of his passes.
Florida State entered Saturday’s game against Uiagalelei’s former team Clemson 1-4 on the season.
