The Pittsburgh Steelers have a quarterback decision to make for Sunday, but Terry Bradshaw thinks they should stick with what has worked so far.
The Steelers legend told TMZ Sports that he believes the team should stick with Justin Fields after a 4-2 start, even though Russell Wilson is now fully healthy.
“I’m gonna stay with Fields,” Bradshaw said. “I think he’s played really good. He’s such a great athlete, he can throw, and I think he just fits the team he has right now. … He’s played well enough to keep the job, in my opinion.”
On one hand, the Steelers are 4-2 and well-positioned in the AFC North. However, the Steelers acquired Wilson with the intention of starting him, and it certainly appears that they plan to do so for Week 7 against the New York Jets.
Fields has completed 66.3% of his passes for 1,106 yards, 5 touchdowns and just 1 interception. He has 231 rushing yards and another 5 scores on the ground. Though he has avoided big mistakes, he also has not really electrified the Pittsburgh offense, which even he seemed to admit on Thursday.
